Last week, at our small group, we celebrated the 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 of several teens from our last youth night. After the group ended, one of our girls asked to share something personal.
She told us she had been waiting all week to come to small group just so she could share how 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 in ways she never thought possible. She spoke about her case moving forward in court, about the deep changes happening in her heart, and about how being at ZOE has transformed her life.
She described how she used to be 𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲—only caring about her own desires. But after coming to ZOE, she started 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲. She wanted to change. She wanted to be a better person. She wanted to 𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 and even bow at his feet—something she once thought was ridiculous. She now dreams of 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝, something she never considered before.
And then she said something that brought me to tears: "𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞."
She shared how God answered a huge prayer about her case, and He answered it so quickly that she knew He was real. That night, she prayed and gave her life to Jesus.
This is what I get to do in 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐆𝐞𝐧. I walk alongside young people like her—girls and boys who have been through 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧 but who encounter 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 at ZOE. It’s not just about rescuing them from trafficking; it’s about 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 their hearts, their dreams, and their faith in a 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲.
Your support makes these moments possible. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬.
Let’s celebrate with her today—because 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝!
