Thai Father's Day
Justice came home with a Father’s Day card from school… only he crossed out “Dad” and wrote “Mom.” I melted. We’re in a strange little season right now… big transitions for the both of us, lots happening behind the scenes, things I can’t quite talk about yet. It would be easy for either of us to get overwhelmed. But God has covered our home with this steady calm, and I’m honestly just grateful. Grateful for Justice. Grateful for grace. Grateful that even on Father’s Day, he f

Proud Mom Moment
Proud mom moment! Justice jumped into our neighborhood Turkey Trot 2K race today with zero warning and zero training and still came home with the bronze medal. So proud of this kid! Feeling extra thankful for our amazing neighborhood and community here in Chiang Mai. You guys make days like this so special. Happy Thanksgiving from our little family… we’re loving this beautiful weather and soaking it all in today.

Beautiful Chiang Mai
One of the things I love most about living in Chiang Mai is all the amazing opportunities for hands-on learning and cultural experiences. Today, Justice got to visit a real working farm with our friend/his Thai teacher… they planted rice, learned about seeds, slid down a mud hill, fed chickens (and got over his fear of them!), and even spent time with a buffalo. Once a month, his teacher takes him out on these Thai adventures, where he’s fully immersed in the language and cul

Staff Appreciation Day
Last night, I got to take my amazing team out for our appreciation dinner, and honestly, my heart is so full. This team is so important to the mission, vision, and calling of ZOE. We carry the responsibility of the spiritual health of our children and that’s no small thing. Without God reaching into the hearts of these kids and healing what’s broken, ZOE as a whole wouldn’t be successful. To my incredible team… P’Noy, P’Khim, P’Oh, P’Pink, P’TdiPo, and our intern, Nid… thank

Day 5: Mountain Rescue… The Ultimate Rescue!
Today we explored how important it is to trust and follow Jesus, because He came to rescue us from sin and bring us back to God. We learned that when we say “yes” to His rescue mission, we’re never lost again. A huge thank-you to Oh, who led today’s session with such passion, creativity, and love! Your efforts made the day unforgettable from the “Lost & Found Search” activity to the object-lesson gear, you helped children experience the rescue mission in a real, hands-on way.

Day 4: Sea Rescue!
Today’s lesson was all about trusting Jesus in life’s storms… knowing that He’s always with us, even when life feels scary or uncertain. A huge shoutout to Nid, who did an incredible job leading today’s session with so much joy, confidence, and heart! The kids loved every part from the “sink or float” trust test to making their storm jars learning that even when the waves get big, we can keep our eyes on Jesus. I’m so proud of Nid, she brought the story of Peter walking on wa

Day 3: Paramedic Day!
Today’s lesson was all about compassion and kindness… learning from the story of the Good Samaritan how Jesus calls us to love and care for others. A huge thank you to Punn, who led the day with such grace, joy, and creativity! Even though she’s not officially on the NextGen team, I totally roped her in and she did an amazing job. She’s a natural! The kids loved every moment… from the games and crafts to the drama and lesson all pointing back to the heart of Jesus’ compassion

Day 2: Firefighter Day!
Today’s theme was all about courage and trust… learning that standing for God sometimes takes bravery, especially when we feel alone or uncertain. But even in those moments, God is always with us and can use our faith to impact others! A huge shoutout to Khim, who led the day with such energy, creativity, and heart. From the games and crafts to the powerful Bible story, she helped the kids see that real courage comes from trusting God completely. We’re so proud of how the kid

Camp has Begun!
Camp Ready Rescue has officially begun! From the very first morning, we can already see God at work… moving in the hearts of these kids, replacing painful memories of the past with new memories full of laughter, worship, and joy. Every song sung, every small group shared, every smile exchanged feels like a piece of restoration unfolding right before our eyes. Please keep praying for our team and these precious kids this week that each one would experience God’s love in a pers

One Year Ago...
One year ago… The flood came fast. We waded out through chest-high water, leaving behind almost everything... our SUV, our kitchen and appliances, all 1st floor furniture, Justice's toy room, and the memories… all underwater. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life. I’ll never forget watching Justice’s little face trying to make sense of it all. But I’ll also never forget what happened next... how you guys rallied. Family, friends, churches, and even strangers gave, pray

The Final Stretch
Our incredible friend Betsy is nearing the finish line of her 1,100-mile “Ride for Restoration: Going the Distance” fundraiser! She just completed Section 12, which means there are only four more sections to go before she crosses that final milestone. Betsy has been riding to raise awareness and support for ZOE International, as well as for Justice and me, helping us continue bringing restoration and hope to children rescued from human trafficking here in Thailand. Betsy’s

Reach Every Person
Most of the time when I share, I talk about ZOE’s work in rescuing kids from trafficking. But there’s another side to what we do… “Reaching every person with the love of God.” Our Bible school students recently went on an outreach to MaeWang. They visited schools, shared the gospel, prayed for the sick, and saw God move in incredible ways. Over 450 people, kids and adults, made the decision to follow Jesus. For me, it’s such an honor to be one of the teachers who gets to pour

Parent's Night Out
Betsy’s Ride for Restoration: Going the Distance reminds me that “going the distance” takes many forms. At ZOE, our staff who parent the kids do it every single day… caring for rescued kids 24/7, loving them through trauma, and never giving up. That’s why, five times a year, we (NextGen) host Parents Night Out. We arrange for others to watch the kids so these incredible parents can go out, be celebrated, laugh, eat, and feel refreshed. Last month’s 80’s theme night out was fu

Camp is Coming
Camp is one month away. Which means… my desk looks like this. Late nights. Papers everywhere. Coffee keeping me alive. But here’s the thing… this is when it matters most. This is when God shows up and meets kids right where they are. Camp is often their mountain-top moment with Him. We’ve had a lot of new kids come in recently. For many of them, this will be their very first camp. Can you imagine? Their first time away, their first time worshipping with friends, their first t

Youth Night Testimony
Last night was such a blessing… thank you all for praying! The kids were super engaged as we talked about prayer, not as a formula, but as a relationship with God. We gave them prayer journals, and it was amazing to see them start writing down what they want to bring before Him. I can’t wait to hear their testimonies this month as they step into consistent prayer. Funny story though… about 2 hours before youth night started, we found out the air conditioning was broken. In

Sharing at Youth Night
Tonight I have the privilege of speaking at ZOE’s Youth Night, and the focus is on prayer. I’ve been preparing all week, but more than notes and outlines, my prayer is that the Holy Spirit speaks through me… that His words, not mine, reach the hearts of these teens. Would you pray with me? Pray that the youth encounter God in a fresh way tonight, that they learn the power of prayer, and that their faith is strengthened to walk boldly with Him.
